You gain an edge in recruiting and exchange programmes with secured housing, entirely without operational effort.

Reserved contingents

We keep an agreed number of rooms free for your students, per semester or academic year.

Affordable and all-in

Furnished, with utilities and internet included. From CHF 620 per month, transparent and without surprises.

Move-in ready

No furniture buying, no casting. Your students move in and start their studies.

No risk for you

You release unfilled rooms. The university carries no vacancy risk, we handle re-letting.

How a room contingent works

A nomination agreement instead of individual search

The model is a room-occupancy agreement, internationally known as a nomination agreement: you secure priority and vetted quality for your students without taking on any vacancy risk.

  1. 1

    Agree the contingent

You reserve a number of rooms for a semester or academic year. We keep them free for your students.

  2. 2

    Students book

Your students book directly from the contingent, with their own lease. No admin effort for your housing office.

  3. 3

    Move in

Furnished, all-in, move-in ready. In St. Gallen about 15 minutes to HSG and 12 minutes to FH OST.

  4. 4

    Adjust flexibly

You release unfilled rooms in good time. You carry no empty-bed risk, we handle re-letting.

For exchange programmes, contingents can be tailored to semester or short-term durations. That way incoming students have secured accommodation from day one.

Student housing already in operation

We already run housing for students, with real properties and verified figures instead of letters of intent.

Questions and answers

Common questions from universities

What does a room for students cost?

All-in from CHF 620 per month: furnished, with utilities and internet included. The price is kept deliberately affordable, especially for international and budget-conscious students.

Does the university have to pay for empty rooms?

No. You release unfilled rooms in good time and we handle re-letting. The university carries no vacancy risk.

Does this also work for exchange programmes?

Yes. Contingents can be tailored to semester or short-term durations. That way incoming students have secured, furnished accommodation from day one.

Do students need a debt-register extract?

No. We waive the debt-register extract for students, because young people often have no credit history yet.

Who is the contact for our housing office?

A dedicated contact person at BoVita looks after your contingent, from reservation to re-letting. No changing contact.
